Hello there everybody! My name is Michael, and in the gaming world I am called me3lingual. This is my little blog in which I will be updating you with everything I do gaming-wise. This first entry here is just going to tell you about myself and what I hope the blog accomplishes.
Well, I recently ended a gaming blog that I called The 6-Month Gaming Challenge. In it, I challenged myself to complete every video game I have in my collection. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to do that. I only finished about 1/6th of my total list. That's 51 games, which is still pretty nifty.
I want to continue blogging, because I really like writing about my gaming "travels". So, I figured I'd just keep it going. Along with writing this blog, I also write for a gaming website called Square Enix Origin. I have been doing that for about a month now. I write articles about Square Enix News, be it games, sales, events, etc. It's fun, and I write about a game company that I have loved for more than ten years. Square Enix games make up a big percentage of my game collection, be it Final Fantasy, Star Ocean, etc.
But I play other games as well. My PSN ID is me3lingual. I really like playing Grand Theft Auto Online and multiplayer games. I am not really excellent at racing games, but I do prefer racing against other gamers than AI racers. I like most genres of video games, but I get really scared when I try horror games. I have attempted to play Slender: The Eight Pages at least 100 times, and I can never play more than five minutes.
Outside of the gaming world, I work at a local newspaper, and have for more than seven years. I really like working there. It has been the only place I have ever worked. I ride my bicycle everywhere, and that includes the ten miles to and from work. I also dabble in graphic design and video editing at home. I have a YouTube channel that I upload videos to with very little consistency. Mostly just stuff when I play Osu! or other PC games.
Anyway, I am sure you'll learn more about me and what I do as you read more of these entries. I want this blog to be more than just my gaming exploits. I want to write gaming news, reviews, and other useful information for you readers to enjoy. So, I hope you come along on this big journey with me. My previous blog I updated daily, but I found that it was too draining on me near the end. I want to keep this blog here update 2-3 times per week. Basically, I will do a gaming update entry, a news entry, and a review each week. That is if I finish a game in a week. Some games take quite a while, so it's only natural that I not rush.
So, I hope you enjoy your visit and that you visit often. I think I will keep the catchphrase I used from the other blog here, at least until I can think of something better to say.
